\nHow\nwill be the construction of buildings in 2030?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \nThe industry of\nConstruction is one of the main responsible for greenhouse gases.\ngreenhouse effect, representing 40% of global emissions\nworld, which has led various actors to rethink the\nhow the buildings are erected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nThe experts\nagree that two factors will determine whether the industry will be\nable in the next decade to leave behind its record as\npolluting industry: sustainability and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nsustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \nTo be more\nsustainable, companies in this area have to change the\nhow they extract and use raw materials in order to reduce\nwaste to the maximum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nSome countries\nEuropeans are already replacing traditional materials such as\nsteel and concrete with other elements that are more friendly to the\nenvironment, such as recycled plastic and wood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n“Timber\nhas a number of advantages over other components: it is more\nsolid, more durable, faster and easier to use in the\nconstruction, requires fewer trucks to be transported and,\nperhaps most importantly, it is able to reduce its impact by absorbing\ncarbon dioxide\u201d, explained Cristi\u00e1n Goldberg, manager of\nRental & Home by Tecno Fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nthere are two countries\nwho are leading the wood revolution: On the one hand,\nFinland aims to double the use of this material in\nconstruction and, on the other, France established that, as of 2022,\nall new public buildings have to be built with\nat least 50% wood or other sustainable material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nto the use of\nenvironmentally friendly elements are added to the efforts to\nrecycle these components. Once again, Europe is at the\nvanguard in this matter, since Germany recycles 68 million\ntons per year and the Netherlands reuses 90% of its waste\non new projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nEfficiency<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \none time\nbuilt, the buildings will have greater demands to be\nefficient in energy terms, since they currently represent\na third of global electricity consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nThe World Green\nBuilding Council, a global organization that brings together companies from the\nconstruction sector and which advocates the development of buildings\ngreen, seeks that all new works are carbon neutral from\n2030. To achieve this, the institution is urging its associates to\nthat any energy use be offset with energy\nrenewable energy generated in the same place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nThe\nautomation is also an aspect that is allowing\nindustry processes more efficient. In the next decade,\nrobotics and artificial intelligence will be universal and\nmachines will work together with humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nThese advances\nhave given a new impetus to prefabrication, a concept that makes\nreference to the elaboration of certain elements of a building in\na factory, which are later transported to the site of\nconstruction to be assembled. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n\u201cThis format\nIt has several advantages over building in the same place:\nimproves safety, lowers costs, reduces lead times\nconstruction and raises the quality of the product\u201d, Goldberg specified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nDepending on the site\nspecialized B1M, it is estimated that modular construction will have a\nappreciation of US$ 130 billion in the United States alone and\nEurope in 2030 and will allow construction times to be cut by\nup to 50% and costs up to 20%. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n“No doubt\nthat the construction sector has everything in its favor to be\nan active and transformative agent in the fight against change\nclimate.
