ISM, the largest company in Chile dedicated to the sterilization of medical material and instruments, needed to build a new sterilization plant in Macul in a short period of time. In addition, the building had to be able to support the high tonnage of the machinery.

In a record time of three months, we were able to deliver a modular building of 23 modules with 450 square meters of floor space distributed on two levels.

The biggest challenge was that the modules had to support the autoclave and washer-disinfectors, machines that can weigh up to 1.5 tons. To prevent the units from yielding under the load, we specially reinforced the foundations.

The assembly also included the installation of water pumps connected under the modules, which will allow maintenance to be carried out under the floor.

“Tecno Fast’s proposal left us pleasantly surprised: the entire assembly and start-up process took only three months and the construction itself met each of our requirements. Thanks to this, today we are able to process more than half a million liters of steam, which is added to our production and allows us to provide a large-scale service in the Metropolitan Region,” said Carlos Rojas, general manager of ISM.
