In August 2018, the commune of Quintero made news for the health emergency experienced by the population, where more than 300 people were affected by a toxic cloud.

At the beginning of September, the authorities installed an Army field hospital, but it could only function for six months. They therefore decided to set up a modular hospital.

Quintero Hospital

We proposed to build two buildings, one for medical consultation and sampling and the other to serve as a dining room for the staff.

One of the challenges we faced was having to raise the modular buildings to the same height as the main building in order to provide continuity for patient transfers.

Both modular facilities, totaling 330 square meters, were completed in 60 days.

Quintero Hospital

With more space, the Quintero Hospital was able to expand the range of health services it offers to its more than 50,000 users, including coverage for treatment, curing, taking samples and electrocardiograms.

Although the lease was for 12 months, the administration was so satisfied with the modular facility that it decided to purchase the modules three months after it was put into operation.
