Hanga Roa

In order to receive tourists again after the pandemic, the authorities of Rapa Nui demanded to reinforce the capacity of the Hanga Roa Hospital with a modular space dedicated exclusively to patients infected with coronavirus.

In less than a month, we were able to manufacture, ship and assemble 20 modules with an area of 300 square meters.

 

The building has a waiting room with a capacity for 30 people, four care boxes, a hospitalization room with four beds, a nursing station and four bathrooms.

The Rapa Nui community celebrated the modular hospital with great enthusiasm, as it allowed them to resume tourism, which is the island’s economic livelihood.

 

Thanks to this modular solution, the Hospital was able to increase its daily attention capacity by 60 people.

 

Dr. Alberto Vargas, director (s) of the Eastern Metropolitan Health Service on which the Rapa Nui facility depends, pointed out that “the modules are well equipped, air-conditioned and meet all the conditions to better serve the population”.
