O’Higgins University

The Universidad de O’Higgins required facilities at its Rancagua Campus to house the first 13 degree programs that would receive the first generation of students in March 2017.

The former Regional Hospital of Rancagua would be the main building of the campus, but the infrastructure needed to be refurbished, so the authorities opted to install modular buildings in the interior courtyards to provide classes for 450 students.

O’Higgins University

Our proposal included the assembly of nine modules for lease and another nine for sale to be used as classrooms and a module for bathrooms.

The classrooms were equipped with a blackboard, a projector, Wi-Fi connection and air conditioning, and the spaces comply with safety and lighting regulations. In addition, roofed corridors were included between the modular buildings for student transit.

The works were completed in just 60 days and were ready before the start of the 2017 university year.

O’Higgins University

The administration of the Universidad de O’Higgins was so satisfied with the quality of the modular solutions that it decided to purchase the modules that were on lease, which allowed it to save costs.

Today, the modules are still being used as classrooms.
